I had the bright idea to buy a dress for my wife. My method was to look at the picture, and if the model reminded me of my wife's body shape, I would then look at the dress for color, fabric, cut, etc. This one fit the bill and my wife looks good in green. She's a regular medium and I made sure we could return/exchange if it ended up the wrong size. The dress arrived and she took it out. Her comment was, "Thanks, sweetheart, but haven't I told you never to buy clothes for me?!" I knew she hated it and that I had overstepped. Two days later, we were going to a party and she came down wearing the dress. She got compliments on it from her friends. She actually likes it even now, months later. She even said so. But she still said, "Don't do that again." So I didn't buy her another dress. But I got her three tops! Same method. She was pissed, but only returned one of them. I'll never learn!I absolutely love this dress. I was hesitant to buy something online after I had major issues with a couple of rompers I purchased but I was pleasantly surprised with this dress and I get so many compliments on it every time I wear it. I am 5'5", 160lbs with 36Ds and I bought a Medium. I was afraid it was going to be too tight but it is actually perfect. There is enough give and stretch to the fabric and with the tie makes it so flattering. I have put a jacket on it and worn it to work too as the length is very appropriate for the office. Highly recommend!I thought this dress was great for throwing something on in the summer with a pair of sandals grab your purse and take off no fuss no muss and looks cute! It fit well not too tight not too loose. Other than that it fit perfect, not too tight. I got a M and am 5'8/160ish lbs. I'm tall with a butt and small waist. It's not too short either. Such a bummer.
